Paris born Clarisse Wisser, based in Dublin for almost ten years,
is a designer of exclusive, individually crafted Jewellery made
from precious metals, jewels and pearls which she markets under
her Clarisse Wisser signature brand. These individual
hand-made pieces, often designed specifically and exclusively for
their owner, are very sought after and desirable.
Her production ranges are marketed under the StudioWisser
brand. These ranges are accessible, widely available yet
still retain the individuality that is so much part of all that
Clarisse creates.
Although she has had a lifelong interest in jewellery, fashion
and art, Clarisse initially studied Philosophy, Psychology and
Irish History before transferring to Design & Visual Studies
and then onto the Craft Council of Ireland Jewellery Skills &
Design course in Kilkenny. This is a famous, highly respected
course which has produced a number of Ireland’s leading
jewelers.
Clarisse has worked with several leading jewellers in Dublin,
and has worked in Finland with Matti Tainio who is regarded as
one of Finland¹s leading silversmiths.
Clarisse was awarded the Overall Design Prize by Craft Council
of Ireland (CcoI) Chief Executive Mr. Les Reed, her work has been
selected for exhibition by the Royal Dublin Society and has been
exhibited in Castlebar, Dungarvan, Enniskillen and Kilkenny. She
has designed to commission for a number of companies and individuals
and her private clients include well known artists, designers
and musicians.
She is a regular exhibitor at the Autumn Fair, Christmas Crafts
Fair, Showcase and other events.
August 2004 – Clarisse Wisser was awarded the overall Design
Award by the Craft Council of Ireland and North American Celtic
Buyers Association.
